It's a fun scene from a wonderful film but taking out the original soundtrack and adding this slightly pleasant song mutes the beauty of the original scene considerably. I don't think it works as it is here. I would encourage anyone who finds this clip intriguing to see the whole film and then compare this with the original. It's easily one of Godard's most accessible films. The french title is 'Bande à Part' but is available also as 'Band of Outsiders' for english-speaking audiences.

The classic dancing scene from Jean-Luc Goddard's crime comedy Bande a Part. It so impressed Quentin Tarantino that he named his movie production company, "A Band Apart", after the film and referenced it in Pulp Fiction. Goddard later said that he would much rather Tarantino had just given him a lot of money instead. Bande a Part was released in the US as Band of Outsiders. (less)
