eisaa dori

The Bon Festival is a three-day observance when ancestor spirits are invited to visit their families in the living world. Eisa is a dance performed on the third day when these spirits depart. The dance is believed to have received influence from people teaching and spreading Buddhism through songs at farming communities in the Ryukyu Kingdom era.
